About EdgeProtocol
Built for teams who cannot wing production access
EdgeProtocol is a secure control plane for infrastructure operations. We help DevOps, OT, and field teams manage remote Linux servers and edge devices without shared SSH keys, open inbound ports, or invisible changes — using outbound-only agents, approval workflows, and an immutable audit trail.
Who we are
EdgeProtocol is built by operators and engineers who have lived the 2 a.m. SSH scramble on distributed fleets — cloud VMs, on-prem Linux, and hard-to-reach industrial edge hardware. Energy, manufacturing, and industrial customers need remote control that security and compliance teams will actually approve — wherever their fleets run.
Our expertise covers remote device management, edge computing operations, least-privilege access, change management, and audit-ready evidence. We design product decisions around those constraints first — not around demos that ignore production reality.
Why we built EdgeProtocol
SSH was designed for interactive access by trusted individuals. Modern infrastructure is multi-person, multi-site, and increasingly regulated. Shared credentials, bastion sprawl, and VPN exceptions create security risk and operational bottlenecks: senior engineers become gatekeepers, and nobody can prove who changed what after an incident.
EdgeProtocol replaces ad-hoc access with a controlled execution model: see device health, propose an action, preview risk (including optional AI explanation), require approval, execute through the agent, and retain the record. That is how teams collaborate on production without pretending a shared key is a process.
Operating principles
Outbound-only by default
Production networks should not open inbound SSH or VPN holes for convenience. Agents dial out; operators never punch holes.
Human approval before risk
Sensitive changes pause for a named approver. Junior engineers can move fast without becoming the blast radius.
Prove every change
Commands, file diffs, and approvals land in an immutable trail so ops, security, and auditors share one source of truth.
